Griffin Finds Way to Orienteering Title

Griffin Hospital scored big in the 2007 Orienteering
Competition as mother and son Linda Graham and Brandon Bowolik dominated
the competition over a difficult course through Osbornedale State Park.
One of only two teams to complete the course within the time limit and
find all of the controls on the course, they finished almost 12 minutes
ahead of defending champion Birmingham Groups team of John Yeager and
Gail Green Singleton. Linda works in the Business Services department at
Griffin while Brandon is a tech in the ER department.
Though it was a beautiful evening weather-wise, the
contestants found the course a bit more difficult than last year as the
90 minute time limit proved to be a real challenge though five
additional teams did manage to find all of the controls, but not within
the time limit.
