Mike Worobel and Frank Cwelinski blistered the field of 19 teams to win this year's Horsehoes Tournament. The duo went undefeated in the double elimination tournament knocking off TEAM, Inc.'s "B" team in the winners bracket final and then topping Spectrum Plastic's 2 team in the finals. Along the way, they defeated Birmingham Health Group's #1 team, gave Spectrum Plastics 2 team their first loss of the tourney and the Valley YMCA's #1 team. Cwelinski was the MVP of the day as he repeatedly threw ringers including the one that providing the clinching points in the final game. The tournament was played at the pits at the American Legion Sutter-Terlizzi Post #16 in Shelton where Frank is also currently the top player in the Valley Horseshoe League.

For Spectrum Plastics second place team of Bob Wayman and Mike Kozlowski, this marks their second 2nd place finish in three years as they were runners-up to TEAM, Inc. that year. They extracted a bit of revenge this year as they rallied through the losers bracket and topped TEAM, Inc. in the finals to move on to the championship game against BIC. They actually had the most wins on the day with six.

TEAM, Inc's. Rich Knoll and Jeff Westine were the "bronze medalists" as they won three straight games in the winners bracket before running into BIC in the winners bracket final and Spectrum in the losers bracket final.
