Harvest House taking shape

House "frame" under construction

Construction "crew" has begun to build the frame
With under a month to go until the actual assembly of
"Harvest House" on the Shelton River Walk, Bill Bubbico of Pitney Bowes has
assembled his "construction" team in a PB warehouse in Shelton to begin the
construction of the panels which will serve as the basic building blocks for
the house. The team is constructing over 20 panels which will be linked
together on the River Walk to form the frame of the house. The actual cans
will then be added to the frame and anchored in place to create the house.
Helping to supervise the construction of the walls is chief
architect Peter Ottavio of Fletcher Thompson in Shelton. Peter created the
design for the house. Corporate Volunteer Council members are currently
collecting the cans, and the public is invited to join them by dropping off
non-perishable items to banks throughout the Valley. Click here for a full
list.
