Iroquois Rocks!

Jay & the VP's Headline Iroquois Concert/Campaign

Jay and the VP's and the "stage crew" from Iroquois' wildly successful concert/campaign!

Iroquois Gas Transmission completed another incredible United Way campaign and celebrated with its own special brand of merriment in the form of their own rock concert featuring Jay and the VPs during their employee appreciation luncheon held today. We we want to acknowledge the incredible job that they have done in raising over $30,000 that will be matched by the company! It's especially nice because they have fun doing it. Check out our campaign photo album.

Earlier information:

Over the course of the next week, there will be a variety of special events including Candy Countdown, Blue Jeans& Fan Appreciation Day, a Bake Sale, a Health Fair with the Griffin Parish Nurses and - new this year - Wii Baseball. and then there's that special luncheon next Friday! In her opening remarks, Adrienne Cabral did not explain just what would be involved, but she and the committee promised to "rock the employee's world" without further elaboration. We do know that the management team will be involved in some way!

And speaking of the management team, CEO Jay Holm addressed the group and thanked the employees for their generous support in the past and spoke about the needs in the community during these difficult economic times. He noted that Iroquois employees have always been community leaders in supporting those in need and urged people to do what they can again this year.

United way President & C.O.O. Jack Walsh also spoke and jokingly noted that he pulls rank in the United Way office to be able to attend the Iroquois campaign events because they always make it a fun event. He also praised the employees using a slogan from a campaign poster showing Iroquois employees wearing Live United t-shirts. The poster says, "We don't just wear the t-shirt, we live it." He said that is a fitting slogan for a group that is the very definition of Living United.

The Iroquois campaign is an electronic campaign, and within hours, the campaign had already reached $15,000 in employee giving which will be matched with a corporate gift. Watch for full results - and some interesting video following the thank you luncheon on the 13th.
