Basement Systems employees had the opportunity to listen to Jack Ribas, Director of the Lower Naugatuck Valley Boys & Girls Club talk about the great programs and services offered at the Club as part of their 2010-2011 employee campaign held this week. Jack Walsh, President & C.O.O. at United Way also spoke and lauded Basement Systems for their corprorate citizenship and hands-on involvement in the community. Thanks to the efforts of Dan Fitzgerald and his crew who produced a stunning video of the Harvest House food project, the employees had an opportunity to see the Harvest House video. The video catalogs the incredible community involvement (including many Basement System employees) who helped to build a house made of canned goods in an effort to feed the needy in the Valley. Larry Janesky, founder and owner of Basement Systems was the final speaker. He brought home the reasons for giving to the United Way campaign to support the wide range of services being offered - especially in difficult economic times such as these. And then he gave employees a real incentive to give! He announced that he would be matching employee gifts on a 4 to 1 basis up to a total of $10,000. We want to thank Larry and all the good people at Basement
Systems for all that that do to make the Valley a better place to live and work.
