Iroquois Ropes Them in For United Way

"Outlaws" and volunteers made for a great campaign! Click here to see more pictures.

Iroquois Gas Transmission has literally written the book on creative and successful campaigns on behalf of Valley United Way - and they had another winner with their 2010 "Roping you in to Live United" campaign. This might even have topped the 09-10 campaign which featured a heavy metal rock concert by upper management.

This year's campaign had a western theme, but the kickoff featured an old fashioned ice cream social as well. Following a week of fun activities, the wrapup had to be moved in doors because of the weather, but that did not dampen the spirits at all as the Executive Committee masquerading as "outlaws" with heavy bounties on their heads stole the show - as they always do. We'll have the video up on Monday, but we can guarantee you that it is a winner.

Following a western themed luncheon, Iroquois employees heard from 2-1-1 and the 24 hour information and referral services that are operated because of donations such as those made by Iroquois employees. Jack Walsh, President and C.E.O. at Valley United Way, expressed his thanks and wished that he could bottle the enthusiasm from Iroquois and use it with other companies throughout the Valley.

The good news was that this was a record breaking campaign with over 90% employee enthusiasm and over $30,000 raised in employee pledges matched by a company contribution equal to the employees! Jay Holm capped the day by dismissing the employees early for the day!

Thank you Iroquois for another unbelievable effort.
