Cholesterol points disappeared
and waist lines contracted during the 2001 Healthy Team Competition.
When the event ended, Bob Bowns (L) and Rich Ziembroski of PMT had run
away from the field in accumulating 226 points and a 59 point margin of
victory over runners-up Brian and Judy Langston of Cup Champion
Tele-Media. The Langstons edged out the third place Valley United Way
team of Nancy Roshka and Executive Director Jack Walsh by 5 points.
Birmingham Group Health Services Kim Kleopter and Jill Frager finished
fourth while Vince Caramanello and Joe Tetro of Tele-Media rounded out
the top five.
Forty-four teams competed in
the event. Along the way they dropped their cholesterol levels by a
combined 1179
points and lost 215
pounds in weight. The full results:
