& Saksa as Co-Presidents

Members of the 2010 Youth Leadership program elected co-presidents from
Shelton and Seymour to lead them for the year:
Rebecca
Sheehy is a Senior at Shelton High School. She is President of Italian and Drama
clubs and was president of her class for 2 years. Captain of the varsity
softball team. I'm hard working and persistent.
Tom
Saksa is a Senior at Seymour High School. He is a
member of the Student Council and National Honor
Society. He is also on the Cross Country and Track teams.
Being presidents of the Valley United Way Youth Leadership
Program is a big responsibility but we are ready for the challenge. We both know
that a lot comes along with this position and we want to try to make things run
as smoothly as possible. Both of us are on sports teams which helps us with
communication and learning how to work together and how to help each other out.
Another experience that has helped us was Camp Jewell, its a big deal to this
program and it is where we got to know each other, figure out how to work
together and help us solve problems well together.
